Thats right folks.  It is nearly a reality.  The good folks over at Loudcaster have set us up with a beta / test channel.  Streaming radio, royalties paid, can be found on the Shoutcast listing.  You can listen from your mobile devices if they are capable!

I am waiting to find out about un-registered music.  Theres plenty of industry quality music that is not registered with a royalty collecting agency.  Part of my interest in broadcasting is to showcase indie talent as well as artists that don't get boat loads of "regular" radio play.

We are focusing (used lightly) on punk rock / hip hop (rap?) / hardcore / metal.  As we progress, I'ld like to get some band interviews On Air as well as develop a few a few recurring segments with Live DJs.  If you are interested in being a DJ, the time is now.

I currently have 3 hours worth of music upload to the server.  It is not completely typical of what I will be playing.  Entirely too much major label stuff and a few artists are not my typical playstyle/interest.  Most is 192kbs+, with a few at 128kbs.  The stream is currently cycling though the tracks but my channel is waiting for final approval.

is not _quite_ live.  I assume there are some tunes / song ids etc. I will have to settle and upload but! - Loudcaster approved me for a beta channel.

search 'Blunt Logic' on shoutcast.  the stream is up.  not really my format yet, about 4hrs of programming.  I think some stuff is still transcoding - a number of repeats happen atm.

Not sure why it isn't playing from their site yet.  It is the source Shoutcast is picking up.  lawl.  Got a support ticket in cuz I also need to know how to delete tracks from my rotation. :)

I got it to work when you click "tune-in" from shoutcast, just doesn't work on the loudcaster site.
I'd like to DJ maybe :D
I mainly like rock, metal, and alternative songs.

I'ld like to go with a 75% or greater "lesser known" / low to no normal radio play artist.  I am going to do a lunch hour block (like 11-2 or some such) when I get moved.  Let me know what kinda time you want to fill.  I will be putting together a BLR broadcaste forum with a link to some DJing resources / schedule chatter.   What is up now isn't typical of what my format will be, taking the system for a spin.

I know I listen to it through winamp. Will find out how / if that something I can 'save' and distro?  This is a new project from the same guy to run Loudcity - one of the few US based streaming broadcast services that pays royalties.  Not sure how to do this but will look into it.  I am very new to the streaming end of radio.

I do know you can search 'Blunt Logic' @ Shoutcast.com and play that in Winamp.  In turn, a .m3u can be saved for quicklaunching.
